Hello, I hope you are well on your way. You can say it's my first blog about my own experience of making something sweet at home. It's quite good to talk about something you enjoy but yeah!! I can not just want but live in that moment when I am in the kitchen making something for me or someone else..DOES'NT MATTER!!
I search on YouTube for something sweet and easy to make. So, its first recommendation is churros, the Spanish desert, which is quite easy! By the way! I found something while making this in baking it's good when you follow the recipe as it is, after, making so many desserts.
Recipe:
So now, we go to its recipe with the measurement :
1 cup water
2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt(like just a pinch of salt)
1 cup maida(all-purpose flour)
1 egg(optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (it adds flavor)
1 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon powder(mix them in separate plate and take them aside)
that's it.
Instruction:
- Firstly, take a pan and add water, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla essence and put the pan on medium flame.
- Now, wait till the water starts boiling, and then turn off the flame add all-purpose flour and quickly start mixing it till it becomes a soft dough.
- Then put it aside for 2-3 min till it can be touched by hands.
- Ok! Now, here is the interesting part. You have to shape it that depends on you like if you want a professional look so use a nozzle (Ateco #847 pastry tip) you can use but as I don't have them I use my hands to give different shapes. You can use this dough to make an interesting activity for your children. Just a tip!
- Ok! Now go on to the frying part, fry those shaped dough. First 2-3 min on high flame then lower the flame on medium and fry them till they become golden light brown.
- Now, take them out and coat them in sugar and cinnamon powder mix and lastly serve them with melted chocolate and enjoy!!
Warnings:
- While making dough take someone's help as it becomes a little difficult to mix it and use a specula or wooden spoon to mix it.
- For frying, don't overheat the oil as it quickly makes the churros golden and it doesn't cook from inside.
Conclusion:
Hope you found it interesting and helpful and hope my experience helps and overwhelms you.
If you say what is my favourite part then it's obvious the shaping part.
